Steps to Obtaining a Carnet
A Simple, 4-Step Process to Getting Your ATA Carnet Export Document
1. Create an account online. Using our checklist as a guide, prepare your ATA Carnet form with your export shipment information.
2. If necessary, update the Carnet form's shipment information by logging in again or by calling or e-mailing us. The CIB Carnet HelpLine℠ is (800) ATA-2900 or (800) 282-2900.
3. Submit your completed ATA Carnet application, securely, online.
Important: Although you will be asked for payment information, you will not be billed at this time. Only after the carnet is issued will a charge occur. Prior to that, a Carnet Specialist can advise you of the charges that will apply.*
4. Receive delivery of your ATA Carnet and related international customs documents: carnet bond, insurance for your goods, lost carnet document warranty and shipper’s export declaration.
