Carnets Not Affected by Government Shutdown - Oct 1, 2025 

Hours of service at CBP Ports remain unchanged despite the government shutdown.  CBP is considered an "essential" service and; therefore service at ports is not affected.  

Carnet activation, validation and use should continue as usual.  We highly recommend checking with your local Customs office in advance to confirm their personnel availability and hours of operation.
