Brazil Accepts Carnets Just in Time for Rio

At long last, the boomerang carnets® can report that Brazil began accepting carnets as of June 28th, 2016 according to the World Chambers Federation of the ICC. Brazil will accept ATA Carnets for the intended uses of:
- Professional Equipment
- Exhibitions and Fairs
Brazil will NOT accept ATA Carnets for:
- Commercial Samples at this time.
Although the green cover of the ATA Carnet is not yet updated to include Brazil on the countries list, already-issued carnets will still be able to be used into Brazil. We are not aware of any other details related to acceptance of carnets, such as port limitations, but we will publicize any news as we are aware of it.
