Distribution Center now in Chicago Loop

BARRINGTON, IL - Boomerang carnets® is happy to announce the first Carnet Distribution Center in downtown Chicago at One East Erie Street. Centrally located a few blocks from Michigan Avenue/Magnificent Mile between State Street and Wabash, customers can pick up carnets conveniently from anywhere downtown, making it especially convenient for customers in RUSH situations. The new downtown location is equal distance from both O'Hare and Midway airports, allowing for easy pick-up of the export document prior to air travel. Passports and visas are also available from this location.

An ATA Carnet is an internationally accepted customs document used for boomerang freight®. By presenting an ATA Carnet to foreign customs, your temporarily exported merchandise or equipment passes duty and tax free into carnet countries for up to one year.

At the end of the year, all the items listed on the carnet return to the U.S., thus the term boomerang freight. The ATA Carnet also serves as the U.S. registration of goods for re-entry into the U.S., duty and tax free.
