Say Hello to Our Amazing Team: Meet Shannon, CPD Specialist

Wednesday, May 13, 2020

When you call the Carnet Helpline®, that reassuring voice who greets you may very well belong to any number of us here.

Our Team enthusiastically shares the best kept secret to temporary exports - the many benefits of using carnets for professional and personal boomerang freight®

Meet Shannon

If you have a road vehicle temporarily leaving the U.S. in the coming months or any time in the future, Shannon Thompson is the person you want to speak to.  She is our CPD Specialist.

The CPD is an international customs document which covers the temporary admission of motor vehicles (private and commercial road vehicles) into countries where required. A Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD) is like a passport for a vehicle to enter multiple countries for temporarily while avoiding payment of import-duty and -tax.

This year, Shannon celebrates ten years with boomerang carnets®.  And, as our Carnet de Passage Assistant for the past five years, her favorite part of the job is hearing amazing stories from people travelling all over the world.

Shannon originally hales from Philadelphia.  She is a proud mother, prefers dogs to cats, and her favorite color is aqua.  When asked what her favorite meal would be and with whom - she said it would be a King Crab Legs dinner with Elvis.  Running and interior decorating are two passions that occupy her time off hours, taking care of both mind and body.  Her favorite book is The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett and her favorite movie is Jaws.

If you see a CPD in your future, Shannon Thompson is your "Go-To" professional.

A recent CPD customer, Maggie, left a 5-Star review on Trustpilot:

"The staff were kind and helpful and timely on their submissions. Full of good advice which we heeded and our vehicle is now in Australia without complication. We will definitely use their services again!"

If you should foresee needing a CPD any time in the future, or have questions, please call Shannon at (847) 852-3195.  She would love to hear your travel plans.  For complete information on CPDs and how to apply for one, visit our website www.cpdcarnet.com.
