CIB ATA CARNET ADVISORY

REVISED, MARCH 21, 2008

The United States Council for International Business has advised that only the following Customs offices on the Russian-Ukrainian border are entitled to process ATA Carnets.  This list has been established by the State Customs Service of Ukraine and the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry:

  • Dolzhanskyy (UA) - Novo-Shakhtinsk (RU)
  • Krasna Talivka (UA) - Voloshino (RU)
  • Hoptivka (UA) - Nekhoteyevka (RU)
  • Bachivsk (UA) - Troebortneye (RU)

UKRAINE TO BEGIN ACCEPTING CARNETS MARCH 1, 2008

The United States Council for International Business announced on February 6, 2008 that Ukraine (UA) will begin accepting and issuing carnets effective March 1, 2008.  Ukraine is the 65th guaranteeing organization of the ATA Carnet system.

Ukraine will accept Carnets for all three categories of goods:

  1. Exhibitions and Fairs
  2. Professional equipment
  3. Commercial samples

ATA Carnets will be accepted for transit operations and postal traffic, but not for unaccompanied goods.
